Senior Environmental Specialist at YVR

Join YVR in driving environmental change as a Senior Environmental Specialist. This role focuses on waste management, sustainability initiatives, and reducing carbon footprints.

As a full-time term Senior Environmental Specialist, you will report to the Manager, Climate & Environment, becoming an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. You will lead projects related to waste diversification, enhance environmental awareness, and implement water conservation strategies. Your analytical skills paired with strong communication abilities will allow you to work effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring the success of sustainability projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead waste management and reduction initiatives

• Develop and implement sustainability programs

• Collaborate with airport staff on environmental training

• Manage project budgets and timelines

• Communicate programs’ goals and outcomes

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of environmental experience

• University degree in related field (Master’s preferred)

• Professional designation (e.g., RP.Bio, P.Eng)

• Strong project management skills

• Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation
