Product Development Mechanical Engineer

Position: Product Development Mechanical Engineer Role
Join Progressive Automations as an Intermediate Product Development Mechanical Engineer, focusing on innovative linear actuators and electromechanical products. Collaborate on design, prototyping, and manufacturing in a dynamic team environment.

In this role, you will partner with the Research & Development Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer to bring new actuator designs to life. Your responsibilities include everything from creating manufacturing documentation to supervising quality control and product education initiatives. You will play a crucial part in enhancing our products while gaining valuable experience throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and document new actuator designs

• Prototype and conduct tests on designs

• Source components from local and overseas suppliers

• Supervise purchasing, assembly, and product quality

• Lead internal education campaigns on new products

Requirements:

• At least 2 years in product development

• Experience with linear actuators and motor control

• Strong project management skills

• Familiarity with North American manufacturing standards

• Proficiency in Solid Works and Microsoft Office
