Join BGIS as a Building Condition Assessor I to evaluate building conditions in Western Canada. This entry-level role involves independent site assessments and technical analysis to inform capital project planning.
As part of the BGIS Professional Services team, you'll gain valuable experience in assessing asset conditions and deficiencies. Your responsibilities will include site visits, component evaluations, and reporting using BGIS's specialized software. This role supports building science, mechanical and electrical engineering, and energy efficiency initiatives in Alberta and British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site visits to evaluate building components
• Identify and assess conditions of various building systems
• Generate detailed reports using BGIS software
• Provide repair and replacement cost estimates
• Assist in planning for capital budget allocations
Requirements:
• Diploma in architectural, civil, mechanical engineering, or related field
• 1-3 years relevant work experience preferred
• Understanding of building condition assessment standards
• Knowledge of cost estimating processes
• Ability to travel 50-70% of the time
