Join the City of Richmond as an Affordable Housing Planner 3, focusing on advanced planning and community development. Your expertise in project management and policy analysis will be crucial.
In this role, you will report to the Manager of Affordable Housing, handling high-level planning tasks that advance affordable housing initiatives. Your responsibilities will include conducting financial analyses, engaging with community and governmental stakeholders, and recommending strategic housing policies. You'll also mentor planning staff and oversee project developments from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial feasibility studies for housing projects
• Drive initiatives considering local housing needs
• Collaborate with various departments for process enhancements
• Present initiatives with professionalism at Council meetings
• Mentor planning staff and offer strategic insights
Requirements:
• University degree in relevant fields
• Five years of experience in housing or land use planning
• Preferred background in municipal settings
• Eligibility for Canadian planning institutes
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
