As the Fire Services Coordinator, you will play a critical role under the Chief Administrative Officer, providing support to volunteer fire departments (VFDs) in Richmond County. Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment and training, managing funding and records, coordinating communications, and supporting emergency management planning, particularly with Western Cape Breton REMO.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide research and operational support to volunteer fire departments
• Assist in VFD recruitment and training programs
• Contribute to funding and records administration
• Manage equipment and infrastructure information
• Coordinate fire services communications and emergency management tasks
Requirements:
• Strong background in fire service management or coordination
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with community partners
• Experience in emergency management is a plus
• Commitment to public service and community representation
