This crucial role requires expertise in environmental management, engaging various stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of Richmond's ecosystems. You will assess development applications and guide policy implementation related to environmental legislation. Collaborating with community partners, your efforts will enhance environmental awareness through stewardship projects while building strong relationships across city departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical advice on environmental regulations
• Assess and implement policies for environmental legislation
• Represent the city at regulatory meetings and stakeholder discussions
• Lead community engagement for ecological enhancement
• Maintain collaborative relations with external contacts
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Studies or related field
• 2-5 years experience in environmental management
• Professional certification preferred (P.Ag. or R.P.Bio)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a Police Information Check
