As a Senior Funeral Director at Richmond Funeral Home, located in Richmond, British Columbia, you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to families on their end‑of‑life journey by overseeing and directing all aspects of funeral services, including filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing decedent embalming and providing assistance during the execution of funeral services.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

• Possesses a Funeral Director's license with 7+ years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director.
• Displays proven, superior arrangement, directing and embalming skills.
• Demonstrates active community involvement and establishes a positive profile of the Funeral Home within the community.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
• Exemplifies Arbor’s values of integrity, trust, teamwork and excellence.
• Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Everyday Excellence and Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
• A valid driver’s license is a mandatory requirement for this position.

• Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies.
• Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.
• Acts as an example to junior staff and works closely with management in ensuring the efficient operation of the funeral home.
• Provides support and guidance to Funeral Directors, Apprentice Funeral Directors, Funeral Director Assistants and Office Administrators.
• Maintains active involvement within the community and is committed to building and establishing effective relationships and rapport.
• Supports the Funeral Service Department’s vision of technology integration by understanding the role technology plays in the funeral home’s success.
