About the Job:

The Registered Nurse will:

  • Provide nursing care to emergency patients independently and as part of a team
  • Enhance quality of life for patients and families, collaborating with healthcare providers
  • Engage in continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
  • Maintain and develop clinical competence
  • Participate in hospital committees, teams, and research projects
  • This is a permanent full-time position with rotating day and night shifts from 07:30 to 19:30 and 19:30 to 07:30.

    Location/Unit Details:

    Kelowna General Hospital features a newly expanded emergency department with state-of-the-art facilities, including multiple zones for acute, urgent, and minor treatments, trauma rooms, a helipad, and specialized rooms for bariatric and isolation needs. The hospital is also home to a clinical academic campus for the University of BC Medical School.

    Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current registration with BCCNM
    • Advanced training in ED or equivalent experience
    • CPR and BCLS certification within the past 3 years
