Support prescription workflow at Shoppers Drug Mart while delivering accurate data entry, medication preparation, and customer service in a local store.
This Pharmacy Assistant helps with technical dispensing functions and pharmacy operations. You will receive prescription orders, process refills, manage pharmacy systems, and support timely service. Clinical inquiries and counseling requests are referred to the pharmacist according to standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather prescription information according to applicable standards
- Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Maintain dispensary cash register and process purchases
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
