Under the direction and guidance of the Director, Human Resources, this position delivers HR services to the site, including talent mobility, employee requests and changes, onboarding and training, and administrative HR support. The Coordinator helps foster a safe and welcoming work environment, ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, and supports the company's learning environment.
Key Accountabilities- Serve as the first point of contact in the Human Resources office, offering efficient and accurate support and guidance to team member queries.
- Maintain employee records and files, including collecting and processing paperwork for new hires, transfers, and promotions.
- Enter and maintain site HRIS duties; new team member entries, current changes, compliance tracking, and running reports.
- Process HR paperwork and maintain site files.
- Support team members in benefit, pension, and total reward administration and queries.
- Run workforce analytics reports through Oracle.
- Process voluntary terminations and Performance Improvement/Skills Improvement Reports.
- Facilitate onsite new hire orientation sessions.
- Create and compile content for engagement initiatives.
- Maintain lists of regulatory requirements and work with departments to ensure compliance.
- Respond to employment verification requests.
- Prepare internal correspondence and communications as directed.
- Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
- Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
- Provide coverage for other members of the HR team when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience or 3 years of administrative support experience.
- Post‑secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and relevant experience.
- CPHR or other HR designation is considered an asset.
- Ability to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective, and service‑oriented communication.
- Computer literacy in MS Office and Oracle considered an asset.
