Corporate Recruiter (BC) - One year contract with possibility of extension

Working primarily out of our Richmond BC office, the Corporate Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success for Store locations and Head Office. This will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Corporate Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible employees.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• 5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Applicant tracking software experience is an asset, preferably with Workday.
• Complete understanding of full-cycle recruitment practices.
• Experienced with interpreting recruitment KPIs and formulating strategies
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Behavioral based interviewing skills and experience.
• Demonstrated skills with respect to interviewing and identifying suitable candidates.
• Ability to work under changing priorities, multitask effectively and prioritize based on business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for retail management, Head Office, and specialized positions.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies for open roles.
• Create and post engaging job advertisements across applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks.
• Source active and passive candidates through online recruiting tools, networking, referrals, and industry connections.
• Review applications and assess candidate qualifications against position requirements.
• Conduct candidate pre-screening interviews and participate in formal interview processes.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Coordinate and attend career fairs, networking events, and campus recruitment initiatives.
• Develop relationships with educational institutions, industry associations, and community organizations to support recruitment efforts.
• Promote London Drugs as an employer of choice through positive candidate and stakeholder interactions.
• Coordinate reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Prepare employment offers, offer packages, and new hire onboarding documentation.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and applicant data within company systems.
• Provide recruitment guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
• Participate in employer branding initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance recruitment marketing strategies.
• Support special projects and other talent acquisition initiatives as required.
