Position: IT Technician - Information Security Specialist

- Implement, and maintain information security controls across networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud services
- Monitor and triage security alerts from tools such as Darktrace NDR, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Support incident response activities, including evidence collection, initial investigation, and escalation
- Assist with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, and patch management
- Help maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and asset inventories
- Assist with third‑party/vendor security reviews and questionnaires
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and help promote secure user behavior
- Perform routine security checks and operational tasks as assigned
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and incidents
REQUIRED:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in information security operations, IT security, or a related technical role
- Familiarity with web application security concepts such as OWASP Top 10
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks security solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or cloud environments
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST
- Basic scripting or automation experience using Power Shell or Python
