Junior Data Scientist – Boeing Vancouver  Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join our Digital Services team. The role will be based in our Richmond, British Columbia office and offers a hybrid work style. As a Junior Data Scientist, you will drive innovation by leveraging foundational analytics to improve customer‑facing software tools, products, and services, collaborating with cross‑functional data science and software development teams to build and maintain operational solutions for the aviation and aerospace industry.
Responsibilities   Communicates effectively with customers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and share deliverables.
Works with cross‑functional work streams to implement complex analytics solutions that meet business objectives.
Supports development and maintenance of production‑level analytics tools for both internal use and customer‑facing applications.
Assists in evaluation, validation, and continuous performance monitoring of supported applications, models, and analyses.
Champions a culture of quality, continuous learning, trust, and collaboration.
Basic Qualifications   2+ years’ experience working as part of an integrated data science development team.
Demonstrated experience in applied machine learning.
2+ years of experience with Python.
2+ years of experience with data querying.
Experience writing code in a collaborative environment (e.g., using Git).
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
Must be eligible to handle US export‑controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications   Domain knowledge of the aviation & aerospace industry.
Experience in one or more of the following technologies:
Natural Language Processing, MLOps and CI/CD techniques and tools, Optimization, large‑scale data analysis technologies.

Experience with Databricks.

Experience with Neo4j.
Experience in production data and modeling pipeline development.
Experience presenting to non‑technical audiences.
Project management experience.
Expertise in Predictive Maintenance.
Location & Work Style  Hybrid work model with some onsite work in Richmond, BC; flexibility may vary. The position is not sponsored for employment visa status.
Compensation  Salary range: $69,000.00 – $CAD (based on experience and qualifications).
