Overview

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC manages end‑to‑end warehousing and distribution logistics using a strategic network of storage facilities. The role supports flexible and resilient supply chain solutions and aims to meet lead time goals amid changing conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily execution and long‑term strategic activities between Maersk, port/terminal operators, and authorities to deliver reliable, cost‑efficient service.
  • Proactively interact with vessels, terminals, and OCL functions to drive end‑to‑end service delivery and optimize terminal operations, including last‑minute exception handling and cargo incident management.
  • Lead analysis of port stay performance post‑departure, identify performance gaps, and drive improvement initiatives with stakeholders.
  • Represent Maersk onsite to manage operational matters, engage internal stakeholders, and create visibility around port performance and capabilities.
  • Assist and support berth planners in preparing vessel berthing programs, identifying potential issues, and exploring solutions and contingencies.
  • Work with berth planners to ensure required berth line‑up and resource allocation, achieving high service standards at the lowest possible cost.
  • Monitor port efficiency and agent performance; conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including crisis and incident management, and maintain efficient working relationships with port authorities to enhance compliance.
  • Standardize and optimize Marine Operations procedures and act as the local representative for Maersk’s group agenda.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
  • 10‑15 years of experience in shipping, transport, or logistics.
  • Relevant position experience in the industry.
  • Marine or terminal background.
  • Strategic and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Structured, analytical, and innovative thinking.

Compensation

Pay range: $105k–$110k annually. This is the anticipated starting salary range; the final salary will be determined based on market conditions, location, and applicable laws.
