As a Manager, Supply Chain, you’ll lead sourcing and purchasing activities for assigned commodity groups, ensuring the best value supply of parts and services while meeting program, quality, and delivery requirements. You will also oversee a team of buyers and drive supplier performance and cost optimization initiatives.
What you’ll do:
Manage and prioritize workload for a team of buyers, including setting objectives and supporting performance developmentDevelop and execute commodity strategies based on cost, quality, and delivery targetsLead RFQs (Request for Quotation), evaluate supplier proposals, and support supplier selection decisionsNegotiate supplier pricing, contracts, and inventory agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable termsMonitor supplier performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, quality, cost) and implement corrective actions as neededLead cost reduction and value improvement initiatives across assigned commoditiesCollaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams on supplier qualification and issue resolutionMaintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems to support reporting and auditsAnalyze spend data and market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and risksBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, including managing RFQs, supplier selection, and contract executionMinimum of 2+ years of experience leading or coordinating the work of buyers or cross-functional teamsDemonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements with measurable results (., cost savings, cost avoidance, or improved terms)Experience using ERP systems (., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage purchase orders and supplier dataHands-on experience conducting cost analysis, including cost breakdowns or should-cost modelingDesired
Skills:
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industryStrong analytical skills with experience using Excel and CI (Continuous Improvement) methodologies for data analysis, reporting, and process optimizationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of supplier quality standards (., AS9100)Benefits that make life better
