Logistics Coordinator
Contract
Location:
Richmond, BC
Full-time | On-site | Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year + Benefits
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support to the distribution department. This role involves coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities, handling documentation, and ensuring efficient transportation workflows.
Key Responsibilities Outbound Logistics- Prepare shipping documentation and arrange transport with carriers.
- Review and approve freight-related invoices and charges.
- Monitor timely deliveries from warehouses to end customers.
- Manage freight claims, shipping discrepancies, and analyze accuracy KPIs.
- Coordinate the scheduling of container movements to and from warehouses.
- Build and release shipments from third-party logistics (3PL) facilities and coordinate with 3PL providers.
- Schedule and oversee inbound shipments to ensure timely arrival.
- Manage Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN) and work with brokers to ensure customs clearance.
- Coordinate with warehouse managers, carriers, brokers, and drayage services to avoid delays and fees.
- Organize delivery appointments with clients for inbound goods.
- Validate and approve inbound shipping invoices.
- Keep stakeholders informed of delivery timelines and update estimated arrival times.
- Handle claims related to damaged or missing goods.
- Monitor and replenish office and warehouse supplies.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Support general warehouse operations as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, E-Commerce, or Data Science.
- Minimum 1 year of related logistics or administrative experience.
- Solid understanding of logistics processes and documentation (e.g., BOL, customs procedures).
- Experience with shipment coordination, delivery tracking, and freight scheduling.
- Proficient with Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
- French language proficiency.
- Previous experience in a distribution or warehousing environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and takes initiative without needing direction.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume setting.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Familiarity with standard administrative systems and procedures.
- Strong team player who collaborates well across departments.
