ABOUT
THE ROLE Vancouver Hood Doctors is hiring Cleaner Supervisors to lead crews providing commercial kitchen exhaust and hood-system cleaning services for restaurants, hotels, schools, and commercial facilities across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.
RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of 1-2 cleaning staff working on commercial kitchen exhaust systems
Assist with deep cleaning and degreasing of hoods, ducts, plenums, fans, filters, access panels, and related hood-system components
Establish work schedules, assign duties, and co-ordinate crews for on-the-road service appointments
Prepare budget and cost estimates for specialized cleaning jobs, keep records, and receive payment from clients on completed work
Protect client property by setting up drop cloths, poly-sheeting, and containment before cleaning begins
Inspect sites and completed work to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, including alignment with NFPA 96 standards
Train or arrange training for cleaning staff in job duties, safety procedures, equipment use, and company standards
Resolve work-related problems and communicate job progress and site conditions to management and customers
Operate and oversee the safe use of pressure washers, scrapers, degreasers, hot-water systems, ladders, and other commercial cleaning tools
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and report deficiencies
REQUIREMENTS Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
1 year to less than 2 years of experience, including commercial kitchen exhaust / hood-system cleaning. This experience is required because the supervisor inspects completed work, trains staff, and ensures NFPA 96 safety standards are met.
Supervisory experience in commercial or industrial cleaning
Valid BC driver's licence (Class 5 or
7)
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in wet, noisy, dusty conditions
Available for variable shifts including overnights and weekends, with frequent regional travel
You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
