Richmond Oval Building Custodian Needed

Become a Building Custodian at the Richmond Olympic Oval, a landmark venue on the Fraser River. This role encompasses custodial operations, technical maintenance, and service excellence for our diverse community.

You will work within the facility maintenance team focusing on maintaining a safe and clean environment within an auxiliary capacity. Your day-to-day activities will involve equipment operation, addressing user complaints, and providing technical assistance for events. You will establish relationships within the community to assess its needs and provide appropriate responses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage custodial equipment and perform maintenance

• Maintain accurate records for daily tasks and incidents

• Address public inquiries and resolve issues efficiently

• Collaborate with staff to improve maintenance effectiveness

• Support event setup and teardown as needed

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education required

• Hold a valid BC Driver’s License

• Obtain Building Service Worker Certificate within 3 months

• Previous experience in janitorial services preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills
