Vancouver Coastal Health seeks a Housekeeping Aide for Environmental Services at Richmond Hospital. The position supports client and family centered care through cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas. Duties include waste removal, bed-making, equipment operation, and maintaining facility cleanliness under established policies and routines.
Key Responsibilities:- Damp dust ceilings, walls, vents, furniture, and equipment
- Dry mop, wet mop, clean, and refinish floors
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, beds, and patient areas
- Collect regular, biomedical, and bio-hazardous waste
- Remove spills, make beds, and maintain facility cleanliness
- Grade 10 or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal effectively with others
- Ability to organize work and operate related equipment
