As our innovative business continues to rapidly grow, we are seeking a full time Meat Cutter at our Richmond location. If you can work in a cool, wet, fast-paced environment and under pressure with minimal supervision, we would love to hear from you!

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Salary: $24/hr (paid weekly!)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cut beef, lamb, poultry or pork into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging as per customer's specifications.
• Weigh cuts of meat or known quantity of meat on a scale to determine if the scale is giving accurate readings.
• Trim and/or remove skin, bruises and other blemishes from meat portions.
• Estimate by eye or by feel the weights of meat cuts to ensure they meet the customer’s specifications.
• Perform a “cutting test” that is used to monitor the quality of meat and the workers’ trimming skills.
• Must be able to work holidays and overtime as required.

Requirements:

• Flexible in terms of availability.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Basic knife skills an asset.
• Comfortable working in a cooler/freezer environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, punctual, team player and committed to delivering the job.
• Knowledge in meat cuts and experience is an advantage but not required.
