About the Role
Join our team as a Press Operator at our Mitchell Island location (11300 Twigg Place). This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of our printing processes on the afternoon shift.
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM.
CompensationTypical range: $25.00 – $34.00 per hour.

Core Responsibilities- Operate and set up the Offset Printing Press to produce high‑quality custom printed products safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting production schedules.
- Ensure all printed products meet customer specifications and quality requirements by performing quality inspections throughout the production process.
- Facilitate customer press checks while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Accurately enter work order information into the ERP system in a timely manner.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, quality systems, and production documentation requirements to maintain compliance and traceability.
- Proactively identify print quality, equipment, or production issues and communicate them to the Supervisor or Print Scheduler to minimize downtime and waste.
- Monitor equipment performance, perform routine operator maintenance, and report mechanical concerns to the Supervisor or Maintenance team to maximize equipment reliability.
- Ensure finished stock piles are tagged accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S, housekeeping, and safety standards.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and One Better Way (1BW) initiatives by actively participating in process improvement activities.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and support departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of customer orders.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on a printing press as an operator.
- Basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions on the job ticket.
- Ability to operate hand carts and pallet jacks.
- Eye for efficiency and thrives in a continuous improvement culture.
- Must be a team player.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills and reliable work habits.
- Previous machine operating experience is preferred.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as this position requires lifting, bending and moderate physical exertion.
