As a valued member of the Gordon Food Service (GFS) family of companies, we are honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2026. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Machine Operator to join our team based out of our Richmond, BC location. Position:
Full-Time, Permanent Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm. Pay: $19.75/hour (paid on a weekly basis!)
- Accurate completion of documentation when required
- Works in a safe manner and follows all safety procedures
- Set up and operate machines - slicers, dicers, peelers
- Perform testing procedures to ensure machines are working optimally
- Perform food processing functions including manual cutting, washing, and drying of products.
- Able to identify and retrieve products for processing
- Able to read the recipes (weight, cut size, volume)
- Monitor and troubleshoot basic machine problems/perform regular safety checks
- Must be able to work full-time and flexible for overtime
- Previous manufacturing experience in a food processing facility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work on weekends and holidays
- Ability to be flexible with regards to working in production areas where needed the most
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
