POSITION SUMMARY:

The Painter is a hands-on production role responsible for preparing and applying industrial coatings to steel and metal components across a variety of manufacturing projects. Working within Ebco's Painting Division, you will carry out masking, surface preparation, sandblasting, and painting tasks to a high standard, ensuring finished products meet quality and safety requirements.

This is a physically demanding role suited to an experienced industrial painter who can work independently, follow direction, and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment with rotating shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND

EXPERIENCE:

Must-Haves:

5+ experience in Industrial Painting (steel and other metals)

Experience operating overhead bridge cranes is considered an asset.

Experience using Forklift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing pieces for paint and /some sandblast as required;

Other related duties as assigned by the manager or foreman.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of safe working practices (i.e. with solvents) and WHMIS Regulations.

Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing and speaking).

Must be able to use all equipment safely.

Ability to work in a physically demanding position and lift 50lbs.

Ability to take direction and carry out work independently.

Special requirements:

This is a physically demanding position and working at heights may be required.

Must be flexible with shifts (night, day and evenings).

Must have steel toed safety boots and coveralls to start.
