Make a difference as a casual Registered Nurse with The Salvation Army at Rotary Hospice House. This position focuses on providing high-quality, dignified care to residents in a nurturing environment.
In this important nursing role, your primary responsibility will be delivering compassionate care to residents at Rotary Hospice House. You will monitor their health, provide nursing treatments, and support health initiatives while maintaining thorough documentation. This role necessitates engagement with families to ensure a collaborative care approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care aligned with ethical standards
• Monitor and document residents’ health and treatment
• Administer medications and manage symptoms
• Prepare and maintain care-related equipment and supplies
• Engage families in care planning and services
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Registration from the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• 1 to 3 years of practical nursing experience
• Experience in hospice/palliative care is an asset
• Background check and vulnerable sector screening required
