At Vancouver Coastal Health, we're looking for a Registered Nurse for our Medical Short Stay Unit. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in both general medicine and surgery for assigned patients. You'll assess, plan, and implement care while also advocating for clients and educating families about health care and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing assessments for diverse patient needs
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families about health management
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Participate in discharge planning and patient advocacy
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with BCCNM
• Demonstrated ability in acute medicine and surgical nursing
• Skills in telemetry monitoring and IV management
• Experience with pain management and patient education
• Ability to respond to emergencies effectively
