Quality Control Microbiology Technician

Responsibilities and Duties   Perform routine microbiological testing of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical raw material and finished products
Report to QC Supervisor and QA manager if there are any out-of-specification results.
Ensure all analytical results and documentation are of high quality and generated in a timely fashion that complies with GMP regulations and data integrity/traceability requirements.
Prepare or review assigned protocols, standard test methods or relative SOPs.
Plan and perform analytical tasks according to priorities
Critically review data and recommend further action
Perform all tasks in accordance with local policies (e.g. microbiological waste disposal) and SOPs.
Performs Environmental Monitoring of facility on monthly basis and writes a report.
Keep lab clean, instruments calibrated, manage laboratory inventory and order all suppliers needed
Perform appropriate QC Lab relative duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Prepare media for the growth promotion test.

Preferred Qualifications and/or Experiences   Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline of science (microbiology, biochemistry, biology or related) or specific training (pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, nutritional research or related)
Two or more years of laboratory experience preferably in pharmaceutical/nutraceutical or biotechnology-related industry
Advanced knowledge/understanding of GMP and GDP
Knowledge of US FDA guidelines for manufacturing/packaging of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical products as well as USP chapters 60, 61, 2021 and 2022
