This role is situated within the Applied Physics team, where you will analyze and validate experimental data against simulations to push boundaries in fusion technology. Ideal candidates are self-motivated individuals who excel in both teamwork and independent research settings, equipped with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze diagnostic data to inform plasma characteristics
• Develop and propose experimental campaigns
• Curate extensive experimental results
• Team collaboration on dynamic models of spherical tokamak plasmas
• Present and publish findings to diverse audiences
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in plasma physics or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience
• Strong foundation in fusion science research
• Fluent in programming (Python, MATLAB, C++)
• Experience with plasma modeling software like NIMROD
