River Rock Casino Resort is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team as casual/on-call. You will be responsible for creating high quality meals and dining experience for our guests by preparing and serving attractive and scrumptious meals while maintaining all company standards and thorough adherence to all safety and hygiene policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include:
Duties and responsibilities for our Casual/on-call Commis Chef will include:
Prepares, pre-cooks, cooks and presents menu items in a timely fashion; following standardized recipesPrepares checklists and a variety of foods, garnishes, sauces, and other products as required for high volume production and executionCleans kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and proceduresReceives stock from Receiving Operations, labels, dates, stores and rotates in appropriate storage areasCounts inventory as directedAttends monthly culinary meetingsLiaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departmentsDevelops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned or directedother duties as requiredSuccessful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Culinary education an assetLevel 1 Food Safe, Safe Food Handling or BASICS. Fast Food Handler CertificateThe ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record CheckExceptional interpersonal and communications skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks at one timeAbility to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communicationA willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional developmentLive GCE’s Values on the job:
