Cooler Keeper

Overview

Reporting to the Produce Department Head (or his/her delegates), the Produce Cooler Keeper is responsible for managing the produce storage area, including coolers. The position also requires providing good customer service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, maintaining inventory and ensuring workplace cleanliness.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

• Manage the receiving of products, conduct quality inspections and place products in the store
• Maintain inventory and product quality; follow FIFO principle; and ensure proper display of various products
• Sort, pack, and label various produce products and place them in the storage & promotion coolers
• Maintain storage area cleanliness, and ensure that relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
• Keep warehouse, display and walk-in coolers clean and tidy
• Follow procedures to process produce inventory control reports
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Be prepared to stand long periods and to handle products with hands-on task, including lifting products up to 40 pounds regularly
• Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃) environment regularly
• Knowledge of basic work safety
• Not allergic to handling produce products
• Relevant experience in handling produce products is preferred
• Friendly and have a passion for serving our customers
• Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
