Lumber Sales Associate Customer Service

As a Lumber Sales Associate, you will assess customer needs, explain product features, and recommend related items for complete projects. You will greet, engage, and thank customers while building knowledge across lumber and adjacent departments. The position emphasizes customer focus, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Follow Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service
• Escort customers to appropriate merchandise throughout the store
• Ask project questions to determine needs and expertise
• Discuss product options, related items, and available services
• Maintain signed, displayed, and clean department products

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One to two years retail or trade experience an asset
• Effective communication and customer focus
• Interpersonal skills for customer interactions
• Ability to follow safety and Loss Prevention procedures
