Security Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Security Specialist to investigate incidents, conduct audits, support sales with high‑value packages, and collaborate across departments to minimize risk.

• Investigate incidents of wrongdoing involving employees, customers, and company assets.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for civil or criminal proceedings.
• Conduct security audits and inspections of protective systems.
• Collaborate with Sales, Claims, Customer Service, and Operations to identify loss causes.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, or corporate security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with security systems such as CCTV, card access, and screening equipment.
• Ability to travel regularly within the Vancouver area and support 24/7 operations.
• Bondable and able to qualify for a law‑enforcement/private investigator license.
• Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with service dogs.
• Regular onsite presence required to support multiple Fed Ex facilities.

• Knowledge of corporate policy, industry programs, national legislation, and internal regulations.
• Experience maintaining liaison with local, provincial, and federal law‑enforcement agencies.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance while minimizing operational impact.
• Point of contact for civil or criminal warrants or production orders.
