Our Hamilton, Washington facility specializes in manufacturing and machining large, complex composite and metallic structures for the aerospace and space exploration markets. The parts produced are installed on fighter jets, bombers, rockets, and space vehicles.
We are looking for a Security Specialist for our growing team.
This position is onsite in Hamilton, Washington.
Department Summary
The Security Specialist supports the Facility Security Officer in administering Janicki security programs, including personnel security, physical security, visitor control, access control, CUI protection, security awareness, and industrial security compliance. This position supports the physical and administrative security requirements necessary to protect Janicki personnel, facilities, customer information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and government-related program data.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Assist the Facility Security Officer with day-to-day administration of Janicki security programs, including personnel security, physical security, visitor control, CUI handling support, and industrial security compliance activities.
- Maintain and support physical access control processes, including badge administration, access approvals, access reviews, escort requirements, and access logs for controlled areas and CUI-related work spaces.
- Coordinate visitor management activities, including visitor verification, sign-in records, escort procedures, badging, access restrictions, and retention of visitor documentation for audit purposes.
- Support the protection of CUI and customer/government program information by reinforcing approved handling, marking, storage, transmission, printing, and destruction procedures.
- Monitor and inspect physical protection measures such as access points, controlled spaces, secure storage locations, cameras, intrusion detection systems, and physical barriers.
- Assist with personnel security activities, including clearance processing support, visit authorization support, briefing/debriefing coordination, and maintenance of required security records.
- Use government and internal security systems, as authorized, to support clearance, visit, facility, and compliance-related workflows.
- Support security awareness activities, including new hire security orientation, annual refresher training coordination, CUI handling awareness, insider threat awareness, foreign travel briefings, and other required security communications.
- Assist in documenting, escalating, and tracking security incidents, suspected CUI mishandling, access control exceptions, visitor control issues, and physical security violations.
- Support audit readiness activities, including self-inspections, evidence collection, corrective action tracking, documentation maintenance, and support for DCSA, C3
PAO, customer, or government reviews as applicable. - Assist with drafting, updating, and maintaining Security Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP), physical security procedures, visitor control procedures, and related CMMC/NIST SP 800-171 support documentation.
- Coordinate with Cybersecurity, IT, HR, Legal, Programs, Facilities, and business leaders to ensure physical security, CUI handling, and industrial security requirements are understood and followed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial security, facility security, physical security, personnel security, CUI handling, government program security, or a similar security/compliance role.
