We’re looking for highly-skilled craftsmen who can “do it all” while taking excellent care of our customers. Your Responsibilities as a Professional Handyman

• Completing maintenance and repair jobs for residential and commercial customers. Typical projects range from two hours to three days.
• Communicating with customers to help them understand what needs to be done, managing the scope of work and costs.
• Delivering a great experience that impresses every customer. You will follow the Mr. Handyman Way — a repeatable process that makes it easy to impress the customer every time.

How We’ll Measure Performance

• Quality of Work – We guarantee all our work for one year. The work needs to be done correctly the first time.
• Customer Satisfaction – We track customer satisfaction through follow-up surveys. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
• Efficiency – Completing jobs on time and within budget is critical to success in this role.

To Succeed in this Role, you'll need to

• Self-management skills, as you'll often work independently.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers.
• Own your own tools necessary to do the jobs.

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working for paying customers.
• Ability to solve problems analytically and provide realistic solutions or countermeasures.
• Own your own tools.
• Insurable to drive our vehicle.
• Willingness to complete a background check.
• Ability to work safely following Work Safe BC guidelines.
• Ability to lift 22 kilograms independently.

As an experienced Handyman, you should have proficiency in most of these tasks:

• Carpentry
• Painting
• Drywall repair/installation
• Tiling
• Flooring
• Appliance installations
• Bathroom and kitchen work
• Fence repair/installation
• Deck repair/installation
• Cement/concrete/asphalt works
• Non-licensed plumbing and electrical works

Benefits and Pay

We offer above-average wages based on billable hours to customers. Our technicians typically earn between $50,000 and $75,000 per year, depending on skills, willingness to work overtime and odd hours, and ability to build loyal customer relationships.
