Software Development Intern – Boeing Vancouver

Full‑time, up to 8‑month internship with the Digital Services Software Engineering and Advanced Technology team, based in Richmond, British Columbia, start date September
2026.

• Design, code, debug, and test software applications.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders and scrum teams, understanding requirements, contributing to discussions, presenting demos, and providing input on technical solutions.
• Learn and apply programming languages and technologies, including adapting to new codebases and development environments.
• Keep up with industry trends and best practices via self‑learning, training, and knowledge‑sharing.
• Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, managing assigned tasks and communicating challenges or roadblocks to supervisors.

• Valuable industry experience at a leading aerospace company.
• Skill development and exposure to cutting‑edge technology.
• Hands‑on experience with real‑world projects and problem‑solving.
• Connections with subject‑matter experts and industry professionals.

• Currently enrolled full‑time at an accredited university or college in Computer Science or a related discipline, in at least the 2nd year.
• Willing and able to work 40hours per week during the internship.
• Legally able to work in Canada.
• Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
• Eligible to handle US export‑controlled data.

• Previous internship experience.
• Experience in Java or Python.
• Experience with development environments such as Git, CI/Dev Ops tools.
• Understanding of cloud development and deployment.
• Knowledge of Agile software engineering.
• Leadership, community involvement, volunteering or teamwork activities.

Hybrid: the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Richmond location; exact requirements are at the hiring team’s discretion and may change.

Hourly rate of $23.50–$27.00

CAD, based on year of post‑secondary education completed, qualifications and experience.
