Software Developer – Web​/Cloud , Co-op

Richmond, BC

Hybrid, 4 days on site (Monday to Thursday)

Semtech is a leading global supplier of high-performance semiconductors and advanced algorithms for infrastructure, high-end consumer, and industrial equipment. Through its acquisition of Sierra Wireless, Semtech powers the Air Link ecosystem — including ALMS (Air Link Management Services), a cloud-based platform that enables customers to remotely deploy, monitor, and manage Air Link routers and gateways at scale.

You will contribute to the on-time delivery of stable, production-ready software for the ALMS platform.

• Analyzing requirements and translating them into reliable software designs
• Implementing and testing features across the ALMS stack
• Integrating and configuring sub-systems within a cloud-native environment
• Writing clear documentation for the features you own.

• Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (software focus)

• Java and/or JavaScript application development
• Linux-based software development
• Web application development
• Core AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda) and Docker containers
• Takes initiative, seeks out challenges, and manages risk pragmatically
• Self-starter with strong communication skills
• Collaborative team player who takes pride in both team and personal accomplishments.
