SUMMARY
The Catering Transport Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily transportation and catering operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time service delivery. This role serves as the central point of communication between drivers, operations teams, and airline personnel, ensuring all flight activities are properly scheduled, tracked, and executed. The Catering Transport Dispatcher supports operational planning, monitors real-time activity, and ensures compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and monitor daily transportation operations to support flight schedules and service requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, operations teams, and airline personnel
Maintain real-time communication with drivers to ensure timely arrivals, departures, and returns to base
Conduct pre‑shift briefings to communicate operational updates, safety expectations, and priorities
Review prior shift communications and ensure all outstanding issues are addressed
Track and report attendance issues including late arrivals, early departures, and absences
Update flight schedules, timing changes, gate assignments, and operational details in tracking systems
Ensure all operational records, logs, and reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Monitor driver activity to ensure compliance with schedules, break requirements, and operational expectations
Coordinate staffing and equipment assignments to meet operational demands
Communicate all operational disruptions or irregularities to leadership and airline partners in real time
Ensure all required documentation, logs, and compliance records are completed and maintained
Support cross‑functional operations, including assisting with warehouse or catering tasks as needed
Monitor equipment readiness, including cleanliness, fuel levels, and overall condition
Promote a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment
Perform any additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal - as applicable)
Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
1–3 years of administrative, dispatch, or coordination experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain required airport and security clearances
Ability to obtain necessary airport vehicle operator permits
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call as needed
Ability to complete required airline and company training programs
Pass a background check and drug screen
