On-Call Truck Driver Position

Join us as an On-Call Truck Driver, supporting vital Fleet Operations by safely transporting materials and equipment. This role includes varied hours and responsibilities in challenging environments.

We are seeking Auxiliary Truck Drivers responsible for the efficient operation of various vehicles for municipal maintenance and construction tasks. You will conduct safety inspections and load/unload vehicles while adhering to safety protocols. Engagement happens on an on-call basis, allowing you to balance work commitments with other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Load and unload materials for transport

• Participate in routine construction and maintenance tasks

• Complete safety documentation as required

• Support general Fleet Operations duties

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence (clean abstract required)

• Up to one year experience in truck operation

• Knowledge of safe driving techniques

• Ability to lift over 20 kg (45 lbs) regularly
