Vancouver Licensed Dispatcher Position

Positioned at the South Terminal of Vancouver International Airport, the Licensed Flight Dispatcher reports directly to the Flight Dispatch Manager. You’ll play a crucial role by creating operational flight plans, monitoring real-time conditions, and ensuring safe, economical flight operations. Strong organizational skills and effective decision-making are essential for success in this dynamic position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and monitor safe flight operations

• Log all exchanges of flight information

• Provide weather analysis to the crew

• Act on emergency procedures as needed

• Issue flight forecasts and create plans

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Completion of Transport Canada exams necessary

• Previous aviation dispatch experience is essential

• Radiotelephone Operator’s Restricted Certificate preferred

• Excellent time management and organizational skills
