Our Distribution Center in Richmond, BC needs you!
As a Part-Time Delivery Driver you will:- Work at least 5 hours a day.
- Coordinate and pick up deliveries from the Warehouse/and vendors to deliver to chain stores.
- Wrap skids keeping in mind the integrity of products and stability of the entire skid.
- Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspection, notifying manager of any major repairs and maintenance.
- Handle all product returns from vendors/and or chain stores.
- Complete appropriate documentation upon delivery.
- Perform quality and quantity checks on the produce being delivered as per receiving procedures.
- Carefully sort produce by store location, and deliver back to the chain store on a timely basis.
- Unload produce and verify invoices upon arrival at chain store.
- Maintain close communication with store management and vendors.
- Provide exceptional customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers/vendors.
- Assist with other Warehouse duties as required.
- Customer service; making the ever important emotional connection with store teams.
- Working with the Kin's community and "inspiring a better quality of life".
- Team Work - Having fun and energizing fellow team mates to promote healthy lifestyles.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver, and a clean drivers abstract.
- Must possess proper license to operate Walk-In Power Jacks, Counter Balance and Narrow Isle Forklifts.
- Proven proficiency in driving a 5 ton truck with air brakes.
- Physically be able to lift up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis, and perform loading, unloading, lifting duties.
- Able to work for long hours and overtime based on operational needs as required.
- Ability to work under various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent work ethics, organization and planning.
- Operate equipment in accordance with company's Health & Safety policies.
- First Aid Level 1 is an asset.
