First Student is seeking an experienced Level 1 Driver Trainer to enhance our driver training program in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive classroom and behind-the-wheel training, focusing on safety, professionalism, and mentoring. This position supports driver candidates through various training activities and contributes to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct classroom and road training for new drivers
• Provide refresher training for existing drivers
• Support the onboarding of driver candidates
• Mentor drivers in safe driving practices
• Evaluate driver performance and maintain training records
Requirements:
• Valid Class B license with endorsements
• Minimum 1 year of school bus driving experience
• Clean driver abstract with no violations
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Commitment to safety and professionalism
