Our client, a well established and growing law firm is growing! They are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk / Administrative Assistant to join its team.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the systematic recording of financial obligations and the execution of vendor remittances. This role ensures that all disbursements are accurately captured upon receipt and that all payments are substantiated by complete records.

• Manage the intake and posting of vendor invoices, receipts, and disbursements into the accounting system.
• Verify and ensure all expenses and invoices are fully posted and approved within the system prior to the issuance of payment.
• Review all incoming invoices to verify that charges are accurate, authorized, and consistent with delivered goods or services.
• Process and issue timely payments to vendors via cheque or electronic transfer or other payment methods.
• Monitor payment records to identify any omissions or discrepancies; proactively follow up with vendors or internal departments to secure missing invoices or required documentation.
• Assist the accounting and administrative team, including data entry, filing, mailing, ad-hoc admin tasks and contributing to general office operations as required.
