Senior Accountant; Public Practice Background

Senior Accountant (Public Practice Background Preferred) Full-Time or Part-Time

As our firm continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Accountant who enjoys producing high-quality work, mentoring junior team members, and helping clients succeed.

This role is ideal for someone coming from public practice who enjoys being hands-on while developing toward a future Supervisor or Manager position.

• Review bookkeeping and month-end files prepared by junior staff
• Prepare Compilation (Notice to Reader) engagements
• Prepare working paper files and financial statements under ASPE
• Identify accounting issues and recommend solutions
• Assist with review engagement files as required

• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve issues
• Help manage engagement deadlines and workflow
• Deliver a high standard of responsiveness and professionalism
• Build trusted relationships with business owner clients

• Coach and support bookkeeping staff and junior accountants
• Review work and provide constructive feedback
• Assist with improving internal processes and quality control
• Contribute to the growth and development of the firm

• 3–7+ years of experience in public accounting
• Strong attention to detail and file organization
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Experience with Caseware
• Experience reviewing bookkeeping or other staff work
• Exposure to personal (T1) or corporate tax (T2) preparation and review
• Experience with Tax Cycle or Tax Prep

Work closely with firm leadership and gain exposure to the operational side of a growing CPA firm.

This role offers a clear pathway toward a future Supervisor or Manager position as the firm expands.
