Senior Accountant

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

A well-established public accounting firm in Richmond Hill is looking to add two experienced Senior Accountants to its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with well-rounded public accounting experience who wants exposure across assurance, compilations and tax within a collaborative mid-sized firm environment.

• Prepare and complete review engagements for privately held companies
• Prepare compilation engagements and related financial statements
• Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns (T2s and T1s)
• Assist with nonprofit and smaller audit engagements during audit season
• Work directly with clients to gather information and resolve accounting and tax matters
• Manage files independently and ensure engagements are completed accurately and on time
• Collaborate with partners and other members of the accounting team

• Several years of experience within a Canadian public accounting firm
• Strong experience with review and compilation engagements
• Experience preparing T1 and T2 tax returns
• Exposure to audit engagements is an asset
• Experience working with ASPE and privately held companies
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage files independently and work effectively within a team

• Hybrid environment with 2–3 days per week in office
