This is a part‑time, on‑site Painter role based in King City, ON. The Painter will prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, masking, and priming as needed. Daily tasks include applying paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve high‑quality finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other building surfaces. The role involves mixing and matching paint colors, selecting appropriate materials and methods for different substrates, and maintaining tools and equipment in safe working order.
The Painter will follow site safety protocols, coordinate with site supervisors and other trades, and help ensure that work is completed on schedule and to AZ Tech Homes Inc.’s quality standards.
- Strong practical skills in Paint and Painting, including surface preparation, cutting in, and clean, consistent application.
- Experience with Painting and Decorating, including finishes for residential interiors and exteriors, trim work, and detailed touch‑ups.
- Knowledge of Coatings, including appropriate product selection for different materials, durability requirements, and environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in Spray Painting, with the ability to set up, operate, and clean spray equipment safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to follow all safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to read basic plans or instructions, follow direction from site supervisors, and work both independently and as part of a crew.
- Reliable transportation to the King City, ON worksite and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, lifting, and working on ladders or scaffolding.
- Previous residential or commercial painting experience is preferred; relevant trade training, apprenticeship, or certifications are an asset.
