Casa Teaching Assistant – Starting immediately or September 2024.

Established in 2007, York Montessori School provides a high‑quality educational experience where each child can achieve academic excellence while being cared for in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our young learners’ early childhood experience.

Previous experience in childcare working with children aged 2.5 to 6 years old is a requirement. Additional assets include Montessori Assistant training, fluency in French, and prior experience working in a Montessori School setting.

We are looking for a dedicated full‑time teacher with exceptional patience, a nurturing disposition, and genuine care for children, positive attitude, creative energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to a collaborative approach to education.

• Experience with children aged 2.5–6 years
• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic
• Positive interpersonal skills with students, parents, and faculty
• Good understanding of the Montessori philosophy (asset)
• Fluent in French with teaching experience (asset)
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR C + AED
• A current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
• Updated Immunization Record
