Position: Part-Time Assistant Teacher at Spirit of Math
Become an Assistant Teacher at Spirit of Math in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This part-time role supports primary education while providing classroom exposure for aspiring teachers.

The Assistant Teacher position is a stepping stone towards becoming a Primary Teacher, allowing candidates to engage with classroom activities and support lesson delivery. Key responsibilities include leading group work, assisting struggling students, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. You will also provide observational feedback on student progress and help manage attendance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support lesson delivery with the Primary Teacher

• Lead classroom activities including group work and drills

• Provide targeted assistance to struggling students

• Maintain classroom order during primary teacher’s absence

• Assist in marking and preparing assessments as needed

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older with a Bachelor’s Degree

• Successful completion of mandatory background screening

• Ability to commit to regular weekly shifts

• Strong communication and classroom conduct skills

• Completion and passing of FTM 1 and 2
