Long Term Occasional French Teacher

Make a difference in students' lives as a Long Term Occasional French Teacher with the York Region District School Board. We're seeking passionate educators to lead Grade 1 French Immersion classes.

Candidates must possess the required French qualifications and be registered or in the process of becoming certified with the Ontario College of Teachers. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the educational journey of young bilingual learners while collaborating with an established teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement French Immersion curricula for Grade 1

• Foster a stimulating learning environment for students

• Evaluate and report on student achievements and challenges

• Work alongside colleagues to create a collaborative teaching atmosphere

• Engage with parents and the community for student success

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education with French qualifications

• Commitment to fostering equity within the school community

• OCT membership or in progress before start date

• Experience teaching young children in French immersion

• Capability to pass police background checks
