High School Biology/Chemistry Teacher/Tutor wanted for Oxford Learning Richmond Hill North. This is a part-time, in-person position in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

This role is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with students, are comfortable with numbers and equations, and are passionate about helping students succeed in science subjects. The position is after-school and evening-based (1-2 evenings per week, Mon–Thu, 3:45pm–8:00pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred; continuation through the summer is valued. The role is in-person;
commuting to the location is required. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
- Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with responsibilities including tutoring multiple students at different levels.
- Teach online and in-person sessions.
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or similar certification) in Sciences.
- Current fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
- Teaching certification is an asset.
- Good knowledge of current Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum, particularly Biology and Chemistry.
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9–12 (or equivalent) level.
- Strong English written and oral communication skills; strong math skills; ability to guide students’ understanding; ability to multitask with up to three students at a time.
- Salary: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour (note: salary range listed as part of the posting).
