Love Calculus and science? Eager to help high‑school students succeed in math, physics, chemistry and biology? Oxford Learning Richmond Hill – Oak Ridges is seeking part‑time tutors to work at our learning centre during after‑school and evening hours.
Position RequirementsAll tutors work during after‑school and evening hours:
Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, with some Saturdays 10:30 am – 2:30 pm. This role is in‑person; you must be able to commute to the location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. No relocation package is available.
- University students with excellent knowledge of the current Grades 11‑12 math curriculum (Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus, vectors, etc.)
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Some experience teaching or tutoring math at Grades 11‑12
- Strong math skills and the ability to guide students’ understanding
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Help high‑school students with their math schoolwork
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Fill in post‑lesson notes
- Complete daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
