La Rocca Director of Engineering Position

Join La Rocca Creative Cakes as Director of Engineering, leading maintenance and innovation in Richmond Hill. The role emphasizes project management and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Reporting directly to the VP, Strategy and Innovation, you will own engineering, maintenance, and reliability within our facility. As we grow, your strategic vision will help implement advanced preventative maintenance and efficiency measures, collaborating across departments to address technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering and continuous improvement initiatives during the contract

• Execute best-in-class maintenance and reliability strategies

• Oversee development of long-term CAPEX plans for equipment

• Act as technical expert across several departments

• Ensure project management best practices are followed
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar

• 8+ years of relevant engineering leadership experience

• Proven track record in food safety compliance

• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus

• Strong background in manufacturing processes and system control
